Kim Delaney has won Emmy Awards for her performance as the character Detective Diane Russell. Her other credits include her performances in the drama All My Children Philly CSI: Miami and Army Wives. Delaney was the sole child of her mother who was a homemaker and senior executive from her union, the United Auto Workers. Delaney lived most of her life with 4 brothers. The idea of being a reporter for the court in childhood but started modelling while at high school, eventually earning commercials following her move into New York. In 1981, she starred as an innocent teen in All My Children. Delaney appeared in a number of television shows, films and dramatics since then. In contrast to her successful professional life, Delaney's personal life is not successful and happy. Her personal life has been a mess. She's had two unsuccessful marriages and struggled with alcohol addiction. In 2005 her custody was confiscated from her.
